Food is just a click away   The Hunger Site

All you do is click a button and somewhere in the world a hungry person receives a meal.  This is at no cost to you.  The food is paid for by corporate sponsors.  Click below to donate a meal.  You are only allowed one click per day.  Please spread the word.

Soup Kitchen

A multi-church endeavor, the Soup Kitchen provides lunch to the homeless and working poor.  The soup Kitchen operates out of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Dover.

If you've wanted to participate in the Soup Kitchen but find that making soup for 100 people is more than you can handle, think about the following suggestion:

Make a monetary donation of $50 or more, which is enough to buy the supplies for a hearty meal.  You can make a donation in honor of a special person's birthday, an anniversary, the birth of a grandchild, or in memory of a dear one.  Make the check out to FMPC and designate it for the Soup Kitchen.  Your gift will be acknowledged in the bulletin, unless you request otherwise, and will be included in your statement of financial giving.

Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN)

The IHN is a group of congregations and civic groups that provide interim shelter to families in need.  FMPC hosts the families in the IHN four times during the year.

Emergency Assistance Program (EAP)/Food Pantry

The Food Pantry serves an average of three or four needy people/families per week.  Each month a new food item is requested.  Food Donations may be placed in  the boxes located in the narthex or outside the chapel.  Please, no dented or rusted cans or expired products.  You may also contribute to the EAP by writing a check, payable to the church.  Please write "EAP" in the memo line of your check.
